Napkin Holder 3D Printing Hybrid Project
For this assignment, we have used Rhino7 to mix and combine objects to create a hybrid. Only twist is that the objects you make are to be combined with someone else's object. By creating 12 objects (6 for each person) myself and my partner Cait were able to brainstorm and come up with some ideas to create a functional design: A Napkin Holder.
When printing this object, we wanted to print it into parts and then put them together. So the large tubes as well as the base would be printed separately and on their sides to avoid using supports. We are a bit worried that the tubes might not work completely, but we will give it a few test runs.

We decided to take Cait's tube design and combine it with the contrasted rectangular elements in my design. It also includes the levitated form from my design (Napkin is off the ground) and the circular bottom (which is now closed).
